ERKUL AeroGlide Roof Cargo Basket 51x36", Steel, 175 lb, Wind Fairing
Product details
Description
Rust is the single most common complaint across every roof cargo basket we researched - including brands charging $250+. AeroGlide Basket is powder-coated for real corrosion resistance, so it doesn't turn into a rust streak down your paint after one wet winter. At 51"x36" (129x91cm), AeroGlide Basket splits down the middle for easy storage and mounts via U-bolt to fit most factory and aftermarket crossbars - and it's verified against ERKUL's own AeroGlide, Skybar, and Wizard lineup, so "will this fit my bars" isn't a guessing game. Rated to carry 175 lbs (80 kg) per the printed installation manual - a real, manual-stated number, not a guess. The wind-fairing profile cuts highway noise and drag that flat-tray competitors don't address. AeroGlide Basket carries the AeroGlide name for a reason: it's built to pair with ERKUL's premium AeroGlide crossbar family for a complete, matched roof cargo system - not a generic white-label basket dropped onto whatever bars you already own. Backed by 50 years of Turkish manufacturing heritage and a printed install guide in every box, with real US warehouse support behind it - not a faceless overseas seller.
- Rust is the #1 reason roof baskets fail - ours is built against it. Full powder-coat protection resists the internal-weld rust and coating flake-off that plagues nearly every basket in this category, so your basket looks new for years, not months.
- Designed to fit ERKUL crossbars - not "measure and hope." The U-bolt mount is verified against ERKUL's own AeroGlide, Skybar, and Wizard bar lineup, so you skip the compatibility guesswork.
- Splits down the middle for real storage. No wrestling a 51-inch basket into your garage - AeroGlide Basket separates into two halves for off-season storage or transport.
- Wind-fairing design cuts noise and drag. The integrated fairing profile reduces highway wind roar and drag versus flat-tray competitors - built for long trips, not just the driveway.
- 175 lb (80 kg) rated steel construction, pairs with AeroGlide crossbars. Heavy-gauge steel frame rated to carry 175 lbs (80 kg) per the printed installation manual.
